İskenderun Körfezi'ndeki (Kuzeydoğu Akdeniz) Kahverengi ve Kırmızı Makroalglerin Temel Besin Maddesi ve Biyoaktif Bileşiklerindeki Mevsimsel Değişimler

Proximate and bioactive compounds (total phenolic, flavonoid, chlorophyll-a total carotenoid contents) of three brown seaweeds (Dictyota dichotoma, Padina pavonica, Stypopodium schimperi) a red seaweed (Jania rubens) from the north-eastern Mediterranean Sea (İskenderun Bay) were investigated seasonally at sampling sites. Seasonal variations found for all parameters studied. The highest ash content was in J. rubens (77.7%) spring. results showed that is rich source with respect to mineral content. D. dichotoma had crude protein content, whereas S. schimperi contained most lipids. Phenolics ranged between 34.6 - 107.0 mg GAE/g dw. phenolics summer, lowest P. pavonica flavonoid contents (9.05-10.6 QE/g dw) higher than seaweed. Moreover, carotenoids levels (4.53 2.83 mg/g, respectively) during autumn. revealed biochemical composition examined significant changes depending on species, location seasons.
